Home Staging

This is a service that the DS&T Team has performed with successful results on countless homes! The process starts with DS&T's detailed evaluation of the home. The DS&T Team goes room by room to create a step-by-step staging check list. The DS&T check list is detailed and organized to get your home ready to sell. When your home is in DS&T hands you can relax and let DS&T get the job done. At DS&T we have a list of contractors who can do the bigger jobs on your staging check list. Once your check list is completed, the DS&T Stagers will come in and put the finishing touches on your home and leave it "Open House Ready". Our DS&T Team will work with the home owner or with the realtor - whatever will work best for the DS&T Client! Home Staging DS&T style will put your home in tip-top condition and ready for sale. Your DS&T Staged Home will stand out in the most competitive real estate market. The DS&T Staging Team will incorporate landscaping and your home's exterior in the evaluation. The goal at DS&T Home Staging is to create a staged home that will sell for top dollar. The DS&T consultants can help you prepare your home to maximize profit and minimize time on the market!

The DS&T Consultants do all the research and keep up with all the trends so we're ready with answers. At DS&T we can help you select everything from the bath tubs to the hot tubs. DS&T has resources to assist you in choosing your lighting, countertops, appliances, or flooring?just about everything including the kitchen sink!

The DS&T Room Makeover takes an under-used or under-appreciated room and gives it a redesign. The result of a DS&T Room Makeover is a space that's welcoming and intimate; a place that you want to be in. The DS&T Room Makeover uses what you already have in your home, re-works it, and creates a room that suits your needs. The DS&T Redesigners "shop" in your home for treasures and items to renovate and rearrange your living space. DS&T can take a room that isn't working for you and make it into your favorite spot in the house! The DS&T Room Makeover will take things that you already own and re-purpose them. The typical DS&T Room Makeover will have a very short shopping list because we want to use what you already own! Often, a DS&T Room Makeover will include a paint color consult to spiff things up a bit.

When Doug the Wonder Agent first suggested the idea of staging my home to increase the odds of selling it, I was a little... hurt. As in, "what's wrong with my taste/my things/my arrangements?" My husband was equally unamused, considering that he is a professional artist and had gone to no small degree of trouble to make our home lovely. Then the lot of you sort of blew in like a cheerful flock of birds and I didn't have the time to be stuffy about it.

When you mainly used our things but more strategically displayed, I felt better. When all you left behind were the decorative plants and the pretty throw pillows, I had to admit the accessories gave the place a lot more style. Your arrangement of our furniture was actually much better than ours - for instance, we'd done the living room to maximize space, and you did it to maximize flow. Two very different things, but we threw a couple of parties with the staged layout and the new arrangement worked wonderfully.

We had tons of looky-loos before and after we met with you, but our first offer came two days after your staging, and I don't think that was a coincidence. Sadly, that offer fell through because the buyer failed to sell THEIR home, but we kept the staging, and a second offer materialized within days... and this was during the winter holidays. It's a great offer, too, and we're heading to closing. We didn't expect either offer, to be honest - we were warned to expect six months of waiting in this market.

And I'm buying a tree for behind the couch and some red throw pillows :) Thanks for all your work, ladies!
